Fact Fluency: Mastering Multiplication presents an innovative approach to teaching multiplication for children in 1st through 4th grade. The app employs animated tutorials, meaningful visuals, and interactive games to facilitate mastery of multiplication facts sequentially. It effectively connects multiplication to both addition and real-world applications, providing a comprehensive understanding of the subject.

The learning journey begins with a thoughtfully structured progression through multiplication facts: x2, x5/x10, x3, x4, x6, x7, x8, and x9. In the x2 section, students are introduced to multiplication as equal groups, advancing through skip counting and repeated addition to strengthen their foundational skills. Subsequently, students engage with the easier facts of x5 and x10 to build confidence and create a solid foundation using familiar concepts such as place value and currency.

The app seamlessly integrates additional skills related to multiplication while maintaining a focus on one set of facts at a time. As children advance through each learning path, they explore the commutative property of multiplication, decompose area models for problem-solving, utilize number lines and hundred charts, and learn about number bonds to visualize fact families, thereby enhancing their understanding of the relationship between multiplication and division.

Furthermore, throughout these modules, children practice identifying missing factors, which not only reinforces their grasp of multiplication but also introduces an additional challenge that aids in achieving mastery of all multiplication facts.

Upon completion of all eight modules, students have the opportunity to engage in 1- and 2-player review games that combine various facts for further practice. These games serve as an engaging alternative to traditional methods such as flashcards or rote memorization, offering vital repetition necessary for solidifying their understanding.
